After my band stopped playing in '95 i sort of dropped out and lost interest. (heartbroke). in '98 i went to see The Bomboras at Magic Stick in Detroit. They blew me away! Completely got my love for surf music re kindled. What the Stray Cats are to post rockabilly the Bomboras are to post surf. You know you have done it right when so many try to sound like you and look like you. Love everything this band does. The best of the best. motorcitysurf
Although I normally like to play music in mixes of 3-5 artists at a time, the "long track" on this album actually works better than all the songs played separately and mixed with other music. Some great psychedelic and surf guitar work on here. If you like this, try Golden Dawn Arkestra and Ouzo Bazooka. xpatofthemind
These tunes are so classic. I love the melodies and how the themes come back toward the end. It's 4 songs that are almost like 1 giant song. Love it! kovachikfan

The surf-pop loveliness of La Luz meets Veruca Salt-style layered vocals in this classic-sounding release from the U.K.'s Peggy Sue. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 21, 2020
Surf music can sometimes start to sound same-y. But you can usually tell when it’s a Fathoms track. They manage to stand out, sonically. One of the best surf-resurgence bands of the 90’s. kleptolia
